KRA offers team opportunities for children ages 5 (able to rally a bit) to age 18. (If there is interest and parental support.) Contact the tennis director for more information.
"Team Parent" Responsibilities:
Assist with the recruitment of players via parents and kids
Communicate with parents via email, etc
Send e-mail to RSJTL to register team.
Send e-mail to request KRA check for team fees to KRA Bookkeeper.
Maintaining a list of who's on team
Coordinate clinics with a pro
Communicate match schedule
Assist pro with creating line-ups for each match
Bringing out snacks/drinks for home matches (KRA buys them)
Carpooling to away matches
Entering scores to tennisscores.com after a home match is played
General cheerleading of all players to play and have fun!
NEW KRA TENNIS GUEST POLICY.
Effective 2018 any non KRA member playing on a KRA team will be required to pay a $25 non member guest fee. This will cover all home matches and any practice matches during that team's season. It is the captain's responsibility to collect the fee and submit to Martha. (All teams playing out of KRA must be captained by a KRA member)
During pool season any non member playing social tennis should pay the daily guest fee of $5 at the pool sign in gate. Guests are required to be playing with a member and are limited to one visit per week (for social tennis, team matches and practices are not counted).
Non members will also be assessed a $5 fee for lessons and clinics
USTA JTT Teams
Red Ball: ages 5-8, smaller court, coed teams, all matches at Kanawha, all matches are singles
Orange Ball Beginner and Intermediate: ages 10 and under, coed teams, smaller court, home and away matches, 2 singles and 1 doubles
Green Dot Advanced: ages 10 and under, coed teams, full-size court, home and away matches, 2 singles and 1 doubles, must have some playing experience
Green Dot: ages 12 and under, coed teams, full-size court, home and away matches, 2 singles and 3 doubles
Regular Ball: ages 18 and under, coed teams, full-size court, home and away matches, 2 singles and 3 doubles
