ATTENTION TENNIS PLAYERS: A new gate was installed which will give you an easier way to get to Courts 8 & 9. If you walk down the walkway outside of the pool fence near the playground and then down the path to the gravel road, there is now a gate to the gravel road, and then you can walk right over to those courts. This way you can park in the parking lot and get to those courts at any time of the year, and if you are playing on those courts and need to use the restroom, you have a fast way to get to the restrooms. The key to the lock on the new gate is the same key as the key to the lock on the boxes where the light switches for the lights on Courts 1-4 are. If you do not have one of those keys, you can purchase one from a manager for $2.00. By the way, this key has been the same key that has been used for over 40 years.
Don't forget SPRING CLEAN-UP DAY on Saturday, April 28. Work begins at 8:AM, and we hope to be done by 3:00. We have mulch to spread, weeds to pull, chairs to clean, tennis shelters to clean, lights to hang in the pavilion, and other chores. We welcome help from all Kanawha members in 6th grade and older. We will gladly sign service forms for school for the middle and high schoolers, and non-KRA members in middle and high school who need service hours are also welcome. Food and drinks will be provided. Of course, we also welcome help from adults. Wear old clothes and closed toe shoes. We hope to see lots of Kanawha people on Saturday. Come any time between 8:00 and 3:00, whenever you have a few hours to spare.
