Spring Tennis Will Be Here Soon

Getting a few days of warm weather has many of us anxious to get out on the courts.  The schedule for spring clinics for youth will be ready by the end of this week.  You will receive another email with that information, and it will be posted on the web site (www.krarva.org).  Youth and adult tennis teams are forming for the spring.  Contact Damian and Laurie Barnes or Houston Barrick, or check the web site for information there.  If you have been a team parent or a team captain before, and you are organizing your team again, please contact Damian or Laurie Barnes, Houston Barrick, and Martha Hodges so that we can coordinate court time.  We need to make sure we do not have teams with match times that overlap.

Effective in 2018, any non-KRA member playing on a KRA team will be required to pay a $25 non-member fee.  This will cover all home matches and any practice matches during that team's season.  It is the captain's responsibility to collect the fee and submit it to Martha.  (All teams playing out of KRA must be captained by a KRA member.)

During the pool season any non-member playing social tennis should pay the daily guest fee of $5 at the pool sign-in gate.  Guests are required to be playing with a member and are limited to one visit per week (for social tennis, team practices or matches are not counted).

Non-members will also be assessed a $5 fee for lessons and clinics.

Of course, what's an email at this time of year without a DUES REMINDER?  Please remember that your annual dues are due on March 15.  Please download the DUES STATEMENT from www.krarva.org, fill it out, and mail it with your check to KRA, P.O. Box 29656, Henrico, VA  23242.  If you are paying by electronic check, please send in the form, and note on it that an electronic check is coming.  We are trying to get all the dues payments submitted on time this year so that we can have the directory ready in early June.
