Tuesday, November 21, 2017, will be an exciting day in the construction of the Tom Hoy Competition Pool. The concrete will be poured. This is a major milestone, but it is one that starts very early in the morning. For those of you who live very close to Kanawha, we thought we should warn you that trucks will start arriving around 6:00 a.m. that day. We apologize in advance for the early wake-up. Also, for those of you who begin your day by walking your dogs to the field and letting them have their morning exercise there, you will need to go into the field from the parking lot and not use the gravel road. There will be a lot of construction traffic on the gravel road that morning. For your safety and the safety of your dogs, it would be better to stay away from the gravel road and get to the field from the parking lot. Since Tuesday also happens to be the last day of school for most children, there may be children who want to go to the field to play after school. They should also access the field from the parking lot and not use the gravel road. This will be a one-day project. If you are planning a "turkey bowl" football game over Thanksgiving weekend, you will be able to use the field anytime over the weekend. The gravel road is closed to vehicle traffic (except construction vehicles) until April, but you may walk down it if you are very careful any day except Tuesday.
We do not have access to the emails of our neighbors who are not KRA members. Please share this with them, especially those of you who meet in the field in the mornings while your dogs get their morning exercise and social time.
